Need help getting your door panel off?

look no further, here is the space to discuss it all. i looked around, and i couldnt find much help on how to get the door panels apart, so i just went at it and took pictures. i hope all this helps....

here is how i got mine apart:

1. (see first pic) take a screwdriver and place it between the door handle plastic and this trim ring, then pry GENTLY to bend the clip and that section will pull loose. after you get all three loose it just falls off.

2. take out the two bolts that are in the armrest

3. use a prytool or screwdrivers and locate each of the ANNOYING white pins that hold the whole panel on, and gently pry near them to pop them loose. go to the dealer and buy some, your gonna break a few. (they come in packs of ten, one pack should be good) (see second and third pic)

4. use a screwdriver to pry the light off the door, and unhook the wires.

5. gently pry the switch assembly off the panel, and unhook the wires (i couldnt get the harness off, so hats off to who can figure it out...) (see fourth pic)

6. push up on the whole panel, and itll slide right off, and you are done.

Re: Need help getting your door panel off?

I cannot get the pictures to work, am I doing something wrong? Can someone help. Or maybe you can email them to me. [email protected].

I'm trying to remove the trim panel on my '99 Suburban and have it all the way off except for around the door handle.
