Spark Plug & Wiring problem on 1996 Olds Cutlass Supreme

I just changed the spark plugs on my 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It has a 3.1L V6. However as I was rotating the engine back (I feel sorry for everyone who has to do this) a wire came out. Now I redline at 3500 and the engine makes a funny noise. Also, I am not sure if the plugs are cross-threaded and I am losing compression.

To sum up, I changed the spark plugs, a wire got disconnected, the engine now redlines at 3500, and I am not sure if the plugs are in right.

What do you people thing the problem is, the wire or the plugs?

Let me know.

Thanks everyone for your help in this matter.

William
