Falken tires

What's your opinon on these? Alex ordered me a set as an early birthday present He got a good deal on them. I've always heard good things but never really researched them because both sets of wheels I have had came with race tires already so as I needed replacements I just ordered Nitto (when I had 16s) or Sumitomo's....currently what I am running. By Saturday Marvin should be sporting 4 matching wheels/tires and not look like such a ghetto ride...I'll get a pic later

I had some Ziex(es) on my Accord. No compaints, but no real raves either...

They do always seem to be on sale, though...

They do enough sponsorship, I'd have to imagine they're atleast semi-decent tires. Let me know what you think of them when they're on. I might be interested in a set to replace my Dunlops, even though I like my SP Sport A2s.

Since I don't drive for work anymore, and go less than 12K miles a year now, I am not to worried about them wearing out quickly. The particular ones he got were $98 and they gave him a smoking deal on the mounting/balancing etc. I dunno if that was to make a sale or because he already put down money to get a set of 20s and tires for his car. I will post a review this weekend

I had a set on my SHO. They performed well and I liked them but one day the tread just seperated from tire on the highway and ripped my body up. Too bad cause I did like them.

Well..............went to the shop last night and got the Falkens put on. Unfortunately though, when they drove my car off the rack the tires were rubbing pretty badly, and you couldn't even stick your finger between the tire or the fender (on the front). It looked pretty dang nice though . So after comparing my old Sumitomos to a Falken (both 215/40/17) it appeared that the Sumi's were a bit smaller and labeled as 215s. So the only option at that time was to go down to 205s. The only set of 4 they had in stock were some Goodyears, but I didn't care because I needed tires as of 4 months ago. Not sure which exact model they were, I let Alex take care of all that....by the time they swapped tires I just wanted to get home. The Goodyears look pretty sharp though. Since I don't race or autocross I am not too concerned with having a Z rated tire. As long as they last me awhile I am happy And on top of that I have all matching wheels and tires again. Later on I will post the ghetto-fantabulous pic of Marvin rolling the spares. It was pretty sad. I hope to have my car this weekend so I can play around a bit
