99 tahoe, oversized tires

I have a 1999 chevy tahoe. It has 2 inch lift blocks in the rear and the torsion bars cranked up in the front so it sits almost level, about 1/4 inch lower in the front. I want to stuff 33x12.5x16's under it or 295/75/16's under it. The running boards are removed and the fender measures 36.25 inches from the bottom of it to the ground.

We do all our test fitting on stock trucks so we don't have fit information on lifted trucks, best source of info would be the Tahoe section of this site or Tahoe specific sites such as:

Lifted tahoe

I think you may be able to stuff the tires into the fenders, but you may not be able to turn with them. You might have to trim the lips (front and rear) of your fenders to prevent rubbing.

Would running this set up potentially lead to transmission problems? I have a 2001 Tahoe Z71 and want to put the same size tires on it. My bud has a 99 Tahoe Z71 w/ 33x12.50 R 15..he's already had 2 transmission rebuilds but he also pulls a 24ft cigarette boat w/it. Any info would help. Don't wanna tear up my transmission.
