That's a good question! I have been toying with the idea of asking Igor to add a few more sections to the Mustang Forum. Now that we're picking up some more traffic of different areas and topics, I think it would be fitting.

I have a few ideas already, but Lets take a vote. What should be added as some other sections related to this forum, that you "the user" would find helpful and interesting?

deffinetly make different sections for different years of the car following the different body styles and major changed, maybe forums for the different engines as well.

i'm thinking there should be a 60-79 fourm and a 80-present forum, or somthing like that just to seperate the thrid genes from the classics and stuff

Ditto, We should also have a Drag racing forum of our own, including our kills at the track etc. etc. This would help others, including our own as to what our cars run at the track and remove disbelief in thinking that a Mustang cant run better than 14s in the 1/4.

Ooh not to mention a F/I or Power Adder forum, being as a good Mustang owner should always be blowned

I also think the seperation of categories is a good thing... Seperation as 351s, 302s, and 281s as they are all built differently, or seperation as generations... 1st/2nd/3rd gens, Mustang II ghia, Fox, Sn95s etc. etc.

Thumbs up I agree....

I think there should definitly be a technical forum along with a racing forum of sorts. I also like the idea that there should be a classic forum and maybe a fox body forums ect.

Ill add a poll to the forum if you guys give me some options and I can figure out how.

Its kinda hard to get more traffic in when you have a million and a half mustang sites out there already.

Indeed. The Honda section's elaborate form is due to an agreement between AF and PureHonda.com. When PureHonda's hosting bill put them out of business, they partnered with AF to funnel their traffic here, so their members wouldn't all be scattered about and all their articles wouldn't be lost. So, we made the Honda section look like PureHonda used to... Since then most of them have left, and the partnership, as it were, has ended.

So.... just find a great Mustang site that doesn't want to pay for the bandwidth for their forums, and have the admin of that site talk to Igor, the admin of AF. Boom! Instant traffic.

I wouldnt divide it up as much as you guys want to. Too much division would weaken a strong section in AF.
Most of the Pureonda.com people left because they were flaming idiots and Im glad thier gone. The ones who stayed are awesome

I defnitely agree with GTStang

I come to the forum with all sorts of different problems... and most of the guys that help don't even own a car that is similar in platform or engine. Maybe a few sections for things like kills or pictures, but splitting it up into different engines or every single platform definitely alienates not only me, but all the other casual mustang owners that drop buy just to ask a question about their car. Although I do like Classic vs Modern forums... that would be a big enough gap (Carb vs Fuel injected) to justify a different section of the forum.

I don't really think we'd need an interior/exterior design/improvment since there aren't very many body ktis ofr the stang... and not many people want to change the body style anyways. It would be cool though.

I really don't see the need for additional subforums until you run into a situation where a topic may be pushed to a different page in the same day due to high volume.

I just think it would be nice to come into the mustang forum and be able to go to a page where I know what kind of posts I would be looking at.

I wasnt meaning to have 50 different forums just a couple of forums like a racing one and a technial forum ect. Nothing like one for body kits one for wheels ect. Those could fit under the technical forum.
