1/4 Time for 03 Accord V6 6 speed?
Hey I just bought a 2003 Accord V6 6 speed, its 240HP yada yada, I dont know what it runs in the 1/4 stock...?
My old car is a 1990 Talon AWD Turbo that ran low 12s, so this Accord doesnt seem to fast to me, but it doesnt seem slow either, it feels like it has some 14s in it! Id like to know for sure! Also, does anyone make an intake for it like AEM or Greddy? Thanks! Tom |

there is a guy at www.v6performance.net who ran [email protected] in his 03 AV6 2dr auto, for 6sp it should be 0.5 sec. faster or so.
BTW, AEM and Injen make CAI for 7gen AV6, Injen posted dyno results for their CAI, it was 20hp gain with 93 octain gas.

Thanks for the responses guys. I believe it is a mid 14 second car as well. I took a look at those intakes...
About the 93 octane... as we know they make 240HP on 87 octane. Well in a CAR N DRIVER edition, when they put super in the accord V6 for some reason is lowered the HP, no tech could explain it, makes no sense! All other cars that were tuned for 87 that went with 93 all gained power EXCEPT the accord! Weird! But anyway, which you think is better AEM or Injen, AEM is almost 300 ...! Dont know price on the Injen! Tom |

that was 6 gen Accord V6, it does loose a good amount of power on Premium. but 7gen Accord V6 gains about 10hp. J30A4 has higher compression, knock sensor and etc. to take adventage of premium gas when J30A1 doesn't.

Oh sweet, I will have to start putting some 93 in then! That article prevented me from doing so.. Also, do you knwo what modifications will break the warranty on the car? Such as intake, exhaust, pulley mods.. etc. Thanks for the responses Tom |

any mods you install on your car will void warranty on parts that they replaced. like if you put lowering springs, it will void warranty on springs and shocks, but if your engine blow up it still be covered by warranty.
dealers don't like to perform warranty repairs because Car Manufacturer (including Honda) doesn't pay a lot of money for those repaires, so they try to BS you by saying "your engine is not covered any more because you have lowing springs". in cases like this you need to tell them that you will file complain.
