Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with eclipse speakers? I have a friend who is willing to part with his for $430 (that includes 2 amps, 2 10" subs, box, 6.5" 3-ways, and 6.5" components). The price is most obviously right (especially given I just bought some POS kenwood components for $300
that I can return), but I'm wondering if they produce good sound quality, any problems with distorting, if anyone has had these things break on them... gimme your comments. Thanks ![]() EDIT: the amps he's giving me are Precision Power (he said they're also know as PPI) never heard of them, so I'd like to hear something about them if anyone knows anything...

I have heard great things about eclipse speakers. Also, I have a friend that had a PPI amp that came stock and did a good job of smacking the hell out of his 10" sub, which also was stock.

haha, now I have to wonder: is 'smaking the hell' out of a sub a good thing? I can see how that could go either way
