Nitrous Question

I have a 2002 mazda protege and I've been told I can use nitrous kits made for carburated engines such as the sneaky pete kit. Is this true? If so what modifications do I need? thanks in advance for any help

What do you mean?...Isn't your car a fuel injected car?...If so are you just looking for nitrous in a semi-reliable form with out drilling holes and what not?...I'd personally just vie for a dry kit with a small shot...seeing as how it's a protege....they're usually pretty damn cheap..and it just sprays into the intake tube

Most protege owners are using wet kits, so I'm gonna try and stay wet

That kit is nothing but your average run of the mill Dry mount nitrous kit..The only perk is that it comes with a bottle which is usually aftermarket...it's made for hiding...IE..illegal street use....Anywho....Yeah..You can use that about 3 times...OR you can use a real 10 lb bottle 5 times as much..Lol

well 90% of the kits you're gonna see will work for Fuel injected cars..simply because you can either modify it to fit...or it's made for it...I honeslty don't know if there is ever a difference between Fuel injected and Carburated nitrous kits anymore..since most of the work is done by the person as apposed to the kit..but that last kit looks like it would be a carburator kit simply because of the gasket they added..but I wouldn't buy that kit anyway...it looks like azz...Seriously....just get a 25-50 shot kit from a name brand..or piece together your own kit...you'd probably save money that way and you'd have a wider range of input from the nitrous
