Whihc of you 4g4d peepz Sport the XS-W1621 Sony Speakers?
Is it just me or does it seem like these are the only shallow mounting speakers that fit in the 4g4d Front Speaker Panel?

i've got kenwood excelon 6.5" coaxials in the doors with a 1/4" spacer... probably the best coaxials i have ever heard for under 500... these things BUMP... hit cleaner and deeper than 90% of the bullshit that rolls out of any big chain store... and i haven't even tapped their potential yet... just running off the deck for now..
the excelons are deep, but i didn't have a problem putting them in the front, it was the rear deck that i had issues with. and those kick panel pods sound like ass anyway...

well it comes down to personal preference on the sound of the speaker... i think the excelons are much cleaner and smoother than any other coaxial out there... others have too much trebel or too much bass, not to mention horrible frequency extension... a majority of subwoofers out there dont' even go as low as these things..
i LOVE focal too, but there isn't a local dealer here so i couldn't buy em... would have tho... i don't trust ebay for shit anymore so that wasn't an option.. when i beef up my sound system i am going all phoenix gold tantrum because i think it is the best value for the money, plus i get a hella deal on it hehe

Im not a fan of coaxials anymore, all components now, they are a lot cleaner than coaxials. They cost a little more money, but worth it. I have MB Quart 5 1/4" component subs with a 1" tweeter.

And I'm with Tony on this one... I'm all about the component speakers now, unless I just have some 6x9 2way or 3ways for rear fill.
