Thumbs up Re: How do you hook up a Turbo XS Boost Controller

You are talking of tha manual boost controller right??? cause I have one of those.

Ok, this is how I install the boost controller:
As you can see on the pics 2 hoses are going out from the boost controller, one of them (the thiner one) goes to the turbo (no pic -->4) If you need a pic of where it goes exactly I can try to take a pic later.
The other one (the big one -->1) goes to a triple nipple (pic 2) . One of the exit of the trile nipple goes to the b.o.v.(-->2) (pic #3), the 2nd one goes to the boost controller(-->1)(pic #1), and the 3th one I'm not sure about the name (-->3) (pic #4) is near to the throutle body.

I hope this answer your question.

A much easier and just as effective way is to just run it between the boost source (compressor outlet) and the wastegate actuator nipple. Shorter hoses mean better response.

Re: How do you hook up a Turbo XS Boost Controller

jdoug if I understand you correctly, your 'boost control' would be very quick and extremely NOT ACCURATE. You have to put your boost source at the intake manifold for a true reading, no matter if it's a longer tube.

so instead of hooking the boost source line to the turbo, you hook it to the intake manafold.

I don't have any pics right now-- I'll see what I can do, but it's the same as is explained on the TurboXS web site, from what I remember.

And I don't understand what you mean, joe, by "not accurate". It's not a boost gauge-- as long as the amount of boost is where you want it, there's no "accuracy" involved, at least from how I see it.

what he means as i take it is... your not trying to control how much boost is coming out of the turbo, its how much boost is goin into the engine! so say you put the tube on the intake manifold you will get a better accuracy than if you put it on the compressor housing!

Re: How do you hook up a Turbo XS Boost Controller

That makes sense. But if your boost gauge is tapped where it should be, THAT is what's reading how much boost is entering the engine, no?
