Should I!?

Okay, i've been thinking about this for a while now, and i think i am gonna do it.... i am gonna buy a WHOLE FRONT CLIP from a JDM EF8....its the whole front half of the car, so i get even the dash board and the gauge cluster and suspension, body panels, hood, sir headlights and crx front bumper and shit like that, oh, and most importantly, the B16!!! Okay, here is the deal, they are in Malasia (sp?) and it will take 21-30 days for it to get here...... but the price is good, and i talked with people over on other forums that say they are pretty good and i even talked with the people in malasia over the phone.... they are very nice and good customer service!!!! Well, here are the prices....

WHOLE FRONT CLIP: $1,530.00
Shipping to their Warehouse in Michigan: $600.00
Shipping from Michigan to my house: $300.00
Total: $2,430.00

Now, if i bought it seperatly, here in the us and stuff....
B16 w/ everything i need shipped: $1,700.00 (avg)
JDM EF8 Sir Front End Conversion: $750.00
SiR Cluster: $150.00
Total: $2,600.00

So, do you guys think its worth getting the front clip? cause i can sell some little parts that i dont want also...... i dont care about the time, i can wait a month, i can do most of my body work while that gets here.....

Why would you need to weld anything? All you do is take off the parts from the Si-R and bolt it to yours, its not like you cut your car in half and then weld that front to it.

I don't know...you are not even saving 200 dollars....you just have to think what if...... What if it comes in and it is beat? You going to fly to Malasia to get your money back? I would go through a reputable supplier here so at least you have half a chance of righting things should something go wrong... but thats just my opinion... If you were saving 1000 bux it may be a different story...

Dont tell me your getting it from www.flashoptions.com?? My boy found out like 3 weeks ago that he knew 3 ppl that bought front clips from them. 2 blue birds and one type r front clip. THey said its "complete" but they were missing alot of stuff from it. THey do lag on the shipments also. I dont know about them ppl man. Dont expect to get a "complete" clip from them.

Sorry Ali but I think I am with these guys. I would be a little scared about getting screwed, and if you do it will be 10 times harder to do something about it. If you deal with a supplier in NY then at least you are there to deal with his shit if he tries to screw you!

If its a repuatable shop then go for it, if they seem wary then do not risk your money...Id rather get scammed close to home compared to another country. Just be really, really cautious and try and get some references from the company also and call up other clients if u can. U gotta be one smart ass shopper...

Other than that sounds like a good deal!
