should i stay or should i go???
I currently have a 2000 Montana, have had so many problems with it. It only has 106,000K. Thinking about getting rid of it. Would maybe like to try a Jimmy!(new or not to old). Wondering if I'd be trading one problem for another? Maybe should be moving to another maker! Would like to hear any thoughts on the Jimmy!

Re: should i stay or should i go???
this is only my opinion but personaly i'd say you will be trading one problem for a whole bunch of problems. the fleet i work on has about 40 or so jimmy's and blazers and as far as i'm concerned they are nothing but junk. all in all i have to say they are fairly reliable as far as turning the key and driving goes but at the same time are plagued with countless other problems. they seem to be prone to oil leaks, premature balljoint wear, rear brake pad wear, front drive shaft boot opening as well as a few other common problems. i'm also not very impressed with their ride quality or gas mileage/range. you should try out a few different vehicles before making a decision. i would steer clear of most korean brands they may have a good warranty but are generaly lower quality and have very low resale value. the trailblazer/ envoy seem pretty good but are a little more expensive. if you're looking at a used vehicle, any used vehicle, be sure to get it checked out by a shop before buying it. i hope i didn't piss off all the hardcore blazer fans, thats not my intention just stating my opinion.

If I had the money, I would be buying another Honda. Had a 1986 prelude and it was the best car I ever owned.

should I stay or should I go
I don't have a lot of experience with GM Products, but I did purchasew a 1995 Jimmy SLT 4x4 about amonth ago, with 100,000 miles on it. I would not do it again, this was supposed to be an extra vehicle for us with the 4x4 so my husband could get to work no matter what. Everything on the vehicle works, but to pass inspection the idler arm and lower balljoints had to be replaced, $470.00, the check engine light came on, this was due to the EGR Valve and Downstream oxygen sensor, $579.00 including a Motorvac cleaning of the injections etc. The master cylinder sprung a leak, replaced with new, including fluids and front brakes $500.00...it was not meant to be a project, but it has become one, with all this it still has a miss somewhere that no one has been able to find by way of computer. This was a impulse purchase and if I had it to do overe again I would do as you are, checking the forums and getting educated, good luck with your decision.
