Angry GM fault codes

Has anyone ever experienced a 'blinking' parking brake light? Mine blinks a pattern of 8 short and one long. It starts as soon as I turn the key on. I've cycled the brake lever, still no dice. It's on an 89 C1500, 5.7 TBI, no ABS just standard disk/drums. Any ideas?

oh oh oh, i know! this happened on my 94 c1500 4.3 litre v6 .. Just take off the neg on the battery, and then replace it after 10 minutes, should be fine after that, its just a fault or something i believe... but nothing should be wrong... if all else fails, check your brakes and especially your brake fluid.... when mine came on it was after i changed the brakes, rotors, shoes, drums, and bled the lines... but its fine..

That is only a temporary fix. Removing the battery resets the computer the problem still exists. I think that is is a brake sensor of some sort. I have been searching for a solution for this problem for the last few years. I have not replaced any brake sensors yet though.
