S15 engine/tranny into 95 s14?
I have read that if you swap a 99 S15 engine/tranny into a 95 S14 that the transmission mounts need to be modified. Does anyone have any details on this?
Anyone done this?

yes, all sr20s can fit any silvia platform from s13 up. i think this was in the faq, kindly read that before asking n00b questions. your welcome

couldnt you just combine the S15 SR with a S14 SR tranny?

if you mean the S15 six-speed, then yes the mounts need to be changed as the bell-housing is different from what i know. if you do this engine swap, however, you are better off using either the S15 5-speed or S14 5-speed. the S15 6-speed is 6 gears shoved into the same bell-housing as the 5-speed, so therefore, in order for them to fit that sixth gear in there, the gears are thinner and break more often. the 5-speeds are stronger.
