Well not exactly the heads of the skrews that fasten the trunk to the hinges popped off... pretty crappy... anyway took vise grips and tried to unskrew the broken skrews out of the trunk lid not working tried the liquid stuff to loosen it up not working either! What to do someone please hook me up with some ideas and im really not wanting to hear I have to buy a new lid cause that means paint too and the budget these days is not very good when its all planning to go to some 18s... thanks

I'm making my rounds. I only get to the board every once and a while. Anyway, if you mean that the head of the bolt broke off and the rest of the screw is still lodged in the hole do this: go to your local hardware store (Ace, Lowes, etc...) and tell them you need a back-out tool. All it is a thing (either in screw-driver like format or in a drill bit format) that will reverse your bolt. When you get the tool you'll drill a small hole into the stuck bolt. Then screw the tool into the hole you drilled. The tool goes in with backwards threads so you turn left to screw it in rather than right. So when it gets tight wahlah! the broken bolt screws out. I hope that description is clear. You'll know what I mean when you see one. Just be sure and ask someone who know's what they're talking about when you go to the store and they can show you how to use it.

You can use a regular 10mm bolt just like came out of it. Again I'll try the picture. You'll have to excuse the primitive nature I just whipped it up really quick. See how much smaller the hole you will drill into the broken off bolt is than the actual bolt. You'll just drill a small hole in the center of the bolt (be sure it's in the center) and then the back-out tool will screw into the small hole and take the entire bolt out without ruining the original bolt hole. That way you can just screw a new one back in. Hope that's clearer. I really gotta go now. :thumbsup
