Question help with trunk lock rattling

i have a 99 monte carlo. A piece attached with my trunk lock rattles loudly when my subs play. It is the long metal piece that that turns along with my key to open my trunk. It rattles where it goes through another piece. Any ideas if there are parts that are missing or what they might be? thanks

Youcould use 'gorilla snot' 3M-Culk, it comes in strios, it's hard to explain but it's good for quick fixes in tight places, also if it wont interfere with the locking system you could use expanding foam.
