Need Brake Help
Brake pedal was way too low and soft. Bled 'em crazy. Still bad.
Replaced master cylinder today hoping to solve it. Bled bled bled. Pedal still goes way low and slowly to the floor if you hold pressure. Have new rotors / pads on front, new shoes on rear. I do not see any leaks anywhere. According to the Helm's test for the brake booster it's supposedly fine. I'm not sure, but the test procedure says it is. So it's pretty much down to booster or proportioning valve right? Any thoughts? Would the proportioning valve cause the pedal to slowly drop to the floor like a bad master cylinder would?? Thanks in advance.

just a thought
are you rear shoes flush w/ the drum you know the firther they are from the drum the more brake travel you get, say does your parking brake come up really far?

I'm no street racer nor do want to be, my goal is a fun car... that leaves SUVs in the dust. current car: red 90-civic-STD-hb with dx trannie, ecu, shift knob, & rear seats. i hate my vynil seats. p.s. i am once again with computer, please forgive the one year leave of absence.

since this is the topic of brakes... what size brake line do I need for the rear? its the piece comin off the flexline to the drum wheel cylinder, how long of a piece do i need, and what diameter is it? thanx guys
