Angry 350z vs 99up mustangs

I have seen bone stock mustangs at the strip running 14 ohs and I have seen several 350s running mid high 14s. Can this be true? Do my eyes deceive me. How can this type of performance run upwards of 30K? Are the new breed mustangs faster in the straight line than the new Z?

The Stang has a 4.6liter V8, compared to the Z's 3.5liter V6. I seriously think you need to get your eyes checked. How do you know the Mustang was bone stock??? Some people are bad driver's also...

I have seen it on several occasions with my own eyes. Anyway what does the size matter when the advertised output has the Z in favor by 20 HP and it is a smaller lighter car. What should a new Z run in the quarter compared to the new mustangs and camaros? I know these cars are capable of more than I have seen.

The 350Z only has 220 at the least and 244 at the most rwhp. The 287 is at the flywheel.

I thought 260 was at the rear wheels. 27hp is intake/headers/exhaust which will shave 10nths off of your et which isn't a lot. It depends on the driver. And I said it is about 50lbs., take off some.

nope, they put down maybe 225-230 at the wheels with 5.0s putting under 200. This is less than the Z. Do you know what the 1/4 mile time would be for the Z?

besides, the larger displacement aids the mustang in having much more torque, which is good for the acceleration of the mustang....and seeing a 4.6 liter v8 having less flywheel hp than a 3.5 liter v6 isnt pretty impressive for ford

hmmm

.... if it was only torque according to your usage....that wins races.. then how come...

an F1 car which makes about 80 ft-lbs of torque at peak output runs the quarter in ~ 9 seconds....
