Quietest Exhaust?

What is the quietest cat back for the 5th gen lude. I want a very silent one, but not one thats so restrictive it is gonna be useless. It will have to be a good diameter piping, because i will be using a turbo or JRSC.

that's the oxymoron of the millenium. here's the deal, for hondas and 4 cylinders in generarl, the quieter you get, the more restrictive it is. the louder it is, the better free-flowing hence better performance. you want the best of both worlds?? you ain't gonna get it if you're going turbo or jrsc. what i would suggest is a custom setup using the N1 muffler for example, or any other muffler with a silencer. put the silencer in when you want quiet, remove it when you're racing.

i would say the apex ws exhaust is the quietest, but if you're going with a turbo or the jrsc, it's probably one of the worst. sorry man, there isn't any exhaust that can give you a quiet exhaust note and good air flow, particularly when FI gets involved. it's just not going to happen. you can run the ws exhaust on a turbo or jrsc lude if you want, but no one, myself included, would suggest doing that.

Sorry man, I'm new to the import word, never owned one, I have had a 6 banger camaro, an SS, and now a GT mustang, I just don't want the lude I get to sound like a buzzing piece of shit. Let me rephrase:

"Whats a good exhaust with a nice throaty sound that won't make my car sound like a chain saw having sex with a weed wacker."

Not tryin to be an asshole, just gain info. Thanks guys.

I have heard that the thermal exhasut are great too. DSM owners praise them, but have also said they are quite loud. I will have to find a few guys with ludes and just listen to them. I imagine the Mugen is quiet, but expensive.

Loud might get annoying, but it isn't so bad when you have the acceleration to back it up.

I assume you mean gas mileage?

You actually gain gas mileage because your engine is working less hard to dispel exhaust gasses from the chamber.
