A Week fresh out of the Shop...New Struts...and now the ZC BLOWS UP

I have no idea why. I picked up my car almost a week ago from Dietz there the honda specialists..i told them all new wheel studs and MAKE SURE MOTOR WILL BE RELIABLE....well last night i was pickin up my little brother sence he was under the influence to drive...and on my way TEMP GAUGE goes way up...so im cruising and i turn off my car immedietly...i slow down from 55 to 20 in no time and have cars flippin me off and yelling until i could get off the road...well i waited on the side of the road for about 10 minutes make sure nothing was really wrong.. so i started it back up and it drove fine...no over heat.

Well this morning i had to get up for summer school...and on the way my temp gauge started going up so i did the same thing...luckily i was on a street i could turn off of immedietly...so i waited for about 2 or 3 minutes now. started her back up and whalaa she worked perfect all the way to school...

now heres where it blows....I'm comming home from school everything seems to be fine...then the temp gauge ONCE AGAIN goes up....im near my house now so i pull over and turn her off...wait about 5 10 minutes then started it back up....the temp gauge was fine...took my eyes off for like a minute and BOOM....the zc blew...GAWD this is the second motor...i pushed it all the way home ALONE...took some time and strength but its now half way up my drive way. I'm having it toed back to Dietz to see reasons...but it was still sizzling and smoking by the time i got in the drive way...

damn I HATE these cars....why me...

Motors blown = 2 (1 Si) (1 ZC)

Every civic I have ever seen that starts to over heat, cools off to normal range by running the heater as hot, and as high as it goes.

That sucks, man. Normally Dietz is so good about that kind of stuff, they've NEVER fucked up on my car. I am thinking that your ZC got punished in its past life in Japan. Tell me what you end up doing. I am considering doing my d16a6 swap this summer, and if you are going to get a motor shipped, I will get one shipped as well and I think we could split the shipping costs to make it cheaper.

Yeh if it overheats i'd blast my heater. That works. Sometimes my car does that when it sits there and idle for awhile then the temp gauge go up. It does that cause i have no fan lol Did you check if your fan works and see if have coolant? I also would check the thermo.

if the engine is overheating, dont just turn it off and wait. get out and check your oil level and coolant level ATLEAST. Check and make sure the fans are coming on, and like the others said, blast the heater full blast.
