OK, before everyone jumps on me...I looked through FAQ's and didn't find anything. I did a search, and found a comment to "get a pair". My question is, Does anyone use/like sprue cutters?
I was thinking of getting a pair, and wanted to know if they helped and were worth it? Any help is appreciated! Jerry

I use a pair, they reduce the chances of breaking the part on the tree. I think its worth it.

They are a must have IMO. Mine are from Pro Modeler, purchased at Hobby Lobby.

I used to work with a $5 flush cutter from my hobby shop. Then I bought this from HLJ
http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?TAM74001 The blade is smaller than my old one so it can get cut off those pieces that are attached to the sprue weirldy. I still need to sand a bit to get rid of the excess plastic but it's good. I make cleaner cuts with it. There's also this, I think it's probably a little bit bigger but cheaper. http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?TAM74035 |

definatly a must have, a somewhat good alternative to a knife if your not too fussy, and dont wanna get cut. I got mine at walmart
They are also good for scratch building things
