Unhappy Asking for separate sprues to Rainbowten

Hi people I have known that the internet modelshop Rainbowten is able to ask for separate runners to Tamiya providing enough info such as no. codes and so ; and I would like to know If some of you have already asked for these things through Rainbow ten.Do they work well? Does them really pay you attention with the orders? And...Is it economically worthwhile against buying the whole model kit?
Iīd like to ask the sprue of the `89 (R32) Skyline GT-R where it is the RB26DETT engine parts to "motorize" my R33 and R34 GT-Rs.And other sick projects would be also on the way with some resin copying ..hehehe

I believe the engine parts of the R32 is spread out to several trees.
I think it's cheaper to buy extra R32 kits from eBay.

BTW, I'll make a resin (not a copy) RB26 DETT kit for the R33 and R34 by the end of this year.

Thumbs up Good idea

mmm that sounds really interesting. So , you wanna make a master and then take out the molds from it, right? A garage RB26DETT resin kit?
Itīs one my future projects , to edit short runs kits.I am talking with a guy at my school who would like to make a garage kit brand of cars and airplanes.I suspect that for doing this thing seriously it would be necessary to buy a little 3D scanner /mill robot, and that costs money you know.
A series of engines for Japanese cars would be a great theme for to work onto. Thereīs a market here in my opinion.
The thing is not to exceed too much the limit with the prices. As an example of this , thereīs the brand Sakatsu that edited two very popular Toyota engines , the 3S-GE and the 2T-G.The aspect of these two items made of die-cast is very good but the price is really exaggerated.
Last year I was finally able to duplicate in resin with silicone rubber molds the 4.0 V8 1-UZFF Toyota engine , and not being excellent the result at least can be used with some minor work.Trouble is , the cost of the silicon rubber. You must be very sure that it will serve to make several copies to be worthwhile the effort to make it.
Iīll give it a try soon to the Nissanīs FJ20E-T.
Let me see however any pictures of your progression, you have had a really interesting idea.

Yeah, just think about how many engines can be done, I thought there is a market for it.
Although I want one, I don't need 3D plotter to make it. I still use orthodox technique to scratchbuld things.
As for the mold and cost, I've been in the resin kit industry for almost 20 years, so I'm aware of that kind of issues. I just want to develop my scratchbuilding skills, and want to give something back to the modeling community. (Besides, body kits are taken by Chris of SAS, so I can't do that.)

The engines that I want to be made are...

[ Toyota ]
3S-G (besides the one in the Celica kit)
4AG

[Honda]
B16/18 in 1/24
F20
K20
NSX V6 (forgot the code name) for Fujimi kit.

[Nissan]
VQ35
RB26 DETT (besides the one in the R32 kit)
SR20 DET

[Subaru]
EJ20

[Mazda]
13B

My friend recently bought a hachiroku, so I have full access to the 4AG engine, so that's most likely be made, but am I missing any Japanese engines?
And some Porsche engines would be nice, I think.

brave attempt!

Well , is it nice to hear that someone still cares about making things the good old artisan way, good luck

Err well , with that list youīre almost covering all the mainstream stuff , you donīt leave much to wish for , although , thinking Iīd add:

Toyota:

1JZ-GTE

Nissan:

VG20E-T
VH45DE
VH41DE
RB25DET

Apart wouldnīt it be bad to make the `92-`00 BMW M3 engine

C32 edit: need pics? LMK!

Please consider a request for an RB-X for all the JGTC kits and 400R conversions, too...
