power steering pressure hose

hey everyone,

I just recently had a new pressure hose (had a leak) replaced on the powersteering pump but there is a slight squeaking noise when I turn the wheel. the mechanic says it'll go away after a week or so because of the new fluid that was put in? Is this correct?

Try to purge the system. Turn the steering wheel all the way to right and to the left few times. May help.

OK, I've done that but it still has the whining noise when I turn the wheel..

My power steering is still making the whinning noise after all this time. Does anyone know if this will create any major problems? Is it ok to leave it as is? thanks
