Intermittant blower motor

The Blower motor in my 2001 Astro with air has begun to operate when it feels like it. When the air or heat or vent is on the blower will operate in all speeds for a while(5 minutes sometimes more) then just stop. Cold air or warm air will blow into the truck, just not under power. Turning off the control switch for the entire system for several minutes will reset the motor and the cycle will repeat. Any ideas? I thought maybe the Blower motor resistor was overheating and shutting off for a time. The fact that it seems to work in all speeds for a fairly standard amount of time precludes a bad connection but maybe not. Anyway, any ideas or past experience with this would be appreciated.

Re: Intermittant blower motor

Check the conmector to blower motor and to resistor relay block- probably a hot spot there....

Re: Intermittant blower motor

Does it only work on certain fan settings when working ????

If so, I'm willing to bet your have a faulty blower resistor.
