I'm having a problem with my alarm not turning off with my 2 remotes. i have changed the battery in both. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. i am just trying to see if there is away i can just turn the anti theft alarm completely off. And not use the alarm feature at all. I have not been able to locate a fuse to pull to do this.thanks for any help

Re: 05 Cobalt Alarm
My girlfriend has a 2006 and had the same issues. We went to the parts store to look at replacement remotes and the guy behind the counter told us that GM's was bad about this and how to fix hers. The metal bracket that holds the battery to the circuit board, there are two spots that the soldering has issues breaking. The two joints on hers was the two that go through the circuit board. All i did was re solder the two joints and the remotes started working again. I had to do it to both remotes. If you don't trust your self to the soldering you can try a local jewelry store.
