How much tax can I expect?

Just wondering how it works with MTO, I got an 03 ram 1500 from my boss, he gave me a receipt that he sold it to me for $2, figuring they will just go by whatever estimated value comes up on the vehicle package.

Somebody then told me that I should had him state something like $500 and they would go by that instead.
Anyone know how MTO handles these things?

Since I don't know where North Bay or what MTO is I'll guess. In my state, if you bring the bill of sale to the registration office for title transfer. If the selling price is way low, they will either use like Nada or KBB, unless you can prove, ie blown motor etc.

I'm in North Bay, Ontario. MTO is Ministry of Transportation Ontario. Was just wondering if there was anyone else from Ontario that knows how they figure the tax you pay.
