leftover new AC compressor

A few weeks ago I sold my 1996 Suburban. I miss it like crazy, but that's another story.

I had replaced my AC compressor, drier, and whatever else needed it...and for some reason I had made a double order on the compressor and drier. Obviously, I have no need for it and would like to use the space on my shelf for other things. I see these on Ebay for $140-200 depending on shipping. The identical unit I installed has worked great for the last year in our 110+ degree desert heat, so I have total confidence in the quality.

If any of you need a NEW compressor and drier, I'd like $125 + shipping for this set...or the best offer. Yes, it is made in China, but so are most of the compressors and parts that are used today. I'm guessing shipping will be $20-30? It's too big to fit into a USPS flat rate box unless I separate the two components.

No need to get ripped off at a high priced shop. These are easy to install, vacuum the system, and recharge. You can do this yourself.

The rest of the story is that I kept my 2005 Suburban in favor of the 1996. Since that decision I have had to replace the ECM that controlled the tranny and rebuild the front drive unit...over $2000. Then, I bought a 26' travel trailer that I don't think my '05 with AWD and 3:42 gears will pull without straining the drivetrain. My '96 would have done it with ease. Worse, I miss being able to just pull off the highway anywhere I wanted and head out up old dirt roads or across the desert.

If you have a good, reliable '99 or older Suburban....KEEP IT!

Re: leftover new AC compressor

Good point. It's 7H15......and a heavy little bugger to get out of the box. This one is nicer than the one I put in....looks almost like it is polished. Ooooh!

The new orofice tube is there, too.

my guess would have been the HT6 compresor.

my 96 impala uses the HD6 compressor.
