A/C Help,New Compressor,no Power to it?
'96 Pontiac Sunfire, identical to the Cavalier.
I replaced the A/C compressor, reloaded the oil and R134A, but I don't get power to the compressor, even though the A/C lights are on in the A/C positions. The unit is loaded and works if I hot wire the compressor, but there's no power on the connector end (measures 0.05V) Here's my original post over in the Pontiac Forum Any suggestions? http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=424048 |

Found the problem.
The fuse block on the fender wall had a broken pin-contact on the relay. I put a piece of bare copper wire in it to make contact with the relay pin and the compressure now works. |
