’88 Fuel Pump Issue, I think?
Hello. First post.
Driving along and car quits. Put in 2 gal of gas and no start. Rode home in cab of a tow truck. The only unusual problem is the gas gauge seems to be stuck on ½ tank and I believe I ran out of gas because of the false reading on the gas gauge. Could this running out of gas have trashed [the original] fuel pump? Why is the gas gauge stuck? Are there fuses or relays I can check. Could it be as simple as a clogged fuel filter? Thank for your help.
