2000 Cherokee Sport Window Control Problem
I recently purchased a 2000 Cherokee Sport. The driver's door window controls work fine but the other three doors have no window control. I have checked the window lock button to be sure it is in the correct position. I understand this is a common issue, as a matter of fact my fiancee has an identical truck that we just realized has the same problem. We don't have children so I would like to just bypass the lock switch. Can anyone provide instructions and a picture or simple diagram for this fix?
Thank you!!! |

Re: 2000 Cherokee Sport Window Control Problem
You just remove the switch panel and splice in a jumper wire.
Some have done the splice down in the kick panel instead. If you search around, you find some other posts about it.

Re: 2000 Cherokee Sport Window Control Problem
There have also been some posts where the wiring harness from the door to the body has worn from opening and closing, chafing the wires.

Re: 2000 Cherokee Sport Window Control Problem
I had the same issue with my 96 xj i just replaced the entire wiring harness from the drivers side door, with one i got from a jeep in the local Salvage yard.
A simple fix i paid $5 for the harness and now every window and door lock work better than they ever had
