No more kits built out of the box please

Ok, Im probably gonna sound like an arse here right now, but I have to let out my frustation. So this thread is my peeve thread.

I am tired of seeing kits built right out of the box. Come on, its boring seeing the same kit being built over and over again in different colors. Cant anyone build their own body kits or widebodies? Take appleseed for instance, he has a nice, well actually, extrmely nice ITR. Why? Because he built everything himself, and it payed off, it looks excellent and unique. I'm sorry but it annoys me to no end seeing the same kits over and over. I like to see thing that requires extreme effort and skill. Not to be rude to anyone, but its not that hard to slap together a model.

Then the other thing, this is directed to the newbies. You guys need to learn to use the search, not all of you have this problem. I had a person come up to me and ask what something was, it irratated me a little since people are so lazy and dont research anything.

Thanks I needed to let loose.

I respect your opinion, but some people, like myself, like making models that are replicas of cars that they like and want a smaller version of their own.

Ok...I understand that but I am intrested in customization, that really can test your talent, and like I said, it will be a unique piece of art, not just another kit.

Man, what the hell do you want?

I build race car replicas, I ain't interested in your tuners personally, but I don't tell you what to build
I test my talent by adding more detail to the model, I am not interested in changing the whole look because I am building a replica of a race car I like.

If you don't like what you see being built here, leave, it's as easy as that.

I need that was going to come sometime. I dont know, I have been here awhile and it was pretty cool seeing everyones models, and then I started to see the same thing over and over. I dont know, its just, I love model building and viewing the models but I want to see something that makes me want to work harder, like subways models.

Everyone is entitle to their opinion. Mine is that just because you have the same kit, should I not do the same kit? Hell no is going to be my kit not yours. But that's my .02 cent. And as far as the newbie things goes, I say everyone has to start somewhere you know is not like all of the sudden you are and experience modelers.

that pretty much sums it up for me right there. if you dont wanna see the box stock threads then dont open them it is as easy as that. i think it is really cool to see model cars that look just like the car they are its amazing to see that much skill put into a model

Yea the newbie thing is a bit exaggerated...I was just so frustrated at the time.

What the hell did you expect?
You come here telling people what you want to see them building and didn't expect to be told you're an ass?

Seriously, people will build what interests them, not what interests YOU, I build models for ME, I don't care what YOU want to see because I am building what I want to build.
Everyone is like that, people will build what interests them or what they like.
If a lot of people like Skylines, respect that, if a lot of people want to build Civics, respect and accept it.

We are not here to cater to you, we all find our own source of inspiration and it sounds like you need to do that without expecting the community here to provide it.

Until you can realise that everyone here builds what they are interested in and want to build, you're going to find it very difficult being here.

some times "box stock" can be something very different and never seen before, hard to beileve right? well take the Revell ITR, i dont think ive EVER seen one built "box stock" but well i know if someone builds it that way, it will get alot of recognition. take Pmans models, if u see them you can see that he mainly focuses on the important things, many of is kits are almost "box stock" but with different paint jobs lowered, rims, and smal tings of that nature, and they always turn out BEAUTIFUL. sometimes a person need\s to focus more on the details and not try to make some outlandish thing that doesnt even look like a car

I just read all the replies and my post and now I look down upon myself. I think I was just all hyped up on frustation and adrenaline and reacted on a spur of the moment feeling. I dont know what came over me at the time of the post but I guess it was something strong, something frustrating inside. I guess I was taken over by my frustation and most of all, selfishness. You guys are right, people build models for them, not me not you, but for them.

I just got frustated for some unexplainable reason and made a post just reacting on frustration without thinking through.

I am apologizing now. Sorry everybody.
