I Know Next To Nothing, Please Help.

I drive a 1999 Honda CR-V EX with nearly 160,000 miles on it. I have noticed something disconnected under the hood and haven't been able to identify it in the user manual. I was hoping someone more informed than I could help. I have attached two pictures. Any insight is appreciated, thank you.

From the first picture, it looks like that wire ran to the rusted looking hood switch right next to it. Look and see if there is a broken or missing wire under that switch. Its a plunger switch for a aftermarket alarm system.
