.... ok i wanted to disable them.. not smash my headlights all together...


Illegally... here in okc its not manditory to have Day Time Running Lights, even if its on new models, same goes for air bags.. dealerships will disable your airbag for some vehicles and will do the same for DTRL, but there is no need to have a dealer do something a shade-tree like myself could do if i knew how, but i just purchased a REAL gm shop manual and it would probly show me how to turn them off but, if you would kindly save me a little time, if you know how to, tell me please

Your DRL's are controlled thru the BCM and you would either need to reprogram the computer or turn off the system with a scan device.

There is a web site devoted to DRL`s. This site actually spells out how to do it. Using a search engine just type in "daytime running lights".
You can also put the parking brake on one notch or readjust the switch on the parking brake mechanism.
