2000 K2500 Gas milage

here's my thoughts... i went from a 90 K1500 350, 3:73 gears, on a 5 speed stick. throttle body spacer, thrush high flow exhaust (no cat) and reg. maintenance. i got 20 to the gallon regularly... NOW, i got a 2000 K2500 (NOT a silverado) also 350, 3:73 gears, but a 700R4, also has regular maintenance... now i get 10 to the gal...

i can still do the throttle spacer, but even if i do a high flow intake, the air flow sensor, will push more fuel. i can do the exhaust, but i got 2 cats! both w/O2 sensors, no i cant pull those... i hold my trucks for a long time, so i WILL get my money back in gas mileage, eventually... i'm wondering what i'm missing in mods...

tire pressure, use of a.c., windows, engine oil change, all the REGULAR maintenance things i know. i need to know what i'm missing, in maintenance.

just so you know whats up with MPG , the nbs 2000-2006
2500 4X4 vehicles get 15MPG max. 6.oL engine. thats all. mods will not help with anything more than 1 mpg and in some cases reduce MPG.

with the 350 engine you have I would expect if the engine and transmission is working perfectly 12-14 mpg MAX....

a 2500 is not a 1500 . 1500 is a lighter truck. 4l80 is the correct transmission.

my 2000 1500 gets 19 MPG max in the summer hywy driving @70 MPH. had it from day one ! no change .

YOUR 2000 2500 having that type tranny is most likely the problem.
