'98 Subaru Impreza.

It arrived today and due to severe ill health I've had the past week (so no further action on the diorama, sorry guys) I wasn't going to start it, but I decided to crack on with it anyway. Only a small bit of progress (this is going to be a long build, I'm going for detail on this one.) so far as after about 5 minutes I felt sick and was bedbound again. This is how it looks at the minute.

It's so shiny straight from the box, credit to Tamiya on that.
I'm painting it "Rover Gunmetal" and the wheels will be black. There will be little or no decals, it's going to be a rally car converted to a road car.

Thanks for lookin'!

Re: '98 Subaru Impreza.

Hi guys,
small update for today. I've painted the bodyshell, Rover Gunmetal Metallic. Looks good if you ask me! Also discarded the idea of GT-One wheels as to be honest I decided I like the regular ones done a different colour (I figured they would've have been molded the gold colour you see (when I had this kit years ago, they were.) but as they weren't, I decided against keeping them for the parts box. I'm going to get to work on the actual building soon, I've sanded the underbody to give the effect of scratches, and done some of the painting of the engine and gearbox etc. and hope to start detailing of the interior tomorrow.

I call her Immy.
Thanks for lookin'!
- Tomo

Nice gun metal! Is the blue underbody intentional?
As an unrelated note, I think this kit is also a good base for building a 22B, just an idea.

Re: '98 Subaru Impreza.

Yeah it is, the rally kit says to have the underside mica blue.. I may not be making the rally car but I might as well follow the instructions :P
It's gonna be a stripped out rally ready 22b.
