Should I buy it????

My friend is selling his CRX for $1000. Its a 89 or 90, I dont remember. Has shitty re-paint and the kit is molded on, but if I buy it I would unmold it and sand all the bondo off, then 1 day paint it black. He is selling it with a B16 SOHC, ZC and the stock 1.5 motor. It pops out of second gear but I would be changing the tranny, axles, ecu, harness and engine with a B18.

Worth it, or should I just pass?

LOL - dude's right..I even think Moppie might have one of those in his Prelude. What type of motor was the 88-89 Prelude 2.0Si ? The reason I ask, is because a JDM DOHC ZC uses an 88 Prelude Si timing belt

And, sorry to jack the post so I'll put in my $0.02 - $1000 for a CRX that isn't rusty is pretty good...so I'd get it...u can always undo other people's crappy body work :-) and even tho I think it was mentioned before, the 97 Civic EX motor was probably a d16y? something motor. SOHC VTEC, with about 127hp

DOHC ZC, I,H,E, urethane bushings and mount inserts, rock chipped hood, some rust, stock steelies, nice comfy Integra seats, and the A/C works! What else could you want from an 18 year old car with 241,000 miles? Working on getting the Si tranny in now

The 88-89 prelude 2.0 si has B20A5 DOHC in it! which the motor is rated to 135 hp and 127 ftlbs of torque bone stock which isnt to shabby for a no-tech motor
