Welcome to AF, in the future post in the Tahoe/truck forum below. Rough idle can be caused by many things, ign misfire, bad injector, vacuum leaks. someone on site has to pin down the cause and/or scan for codes. Normally the maf would not cause this.

first thing to do is measure fuel pressure with a pressure guage and do the pressure test proceedure.

pull all failure DTC codes and post all this info here before spending any more $$$$.

for your info these vehicles do not have idle issues.
how often do you replace the fuel filter/use injector cleaner ?

when did you last replace the PCV ? check these crankcase hoses as well.

could be you have bad, old, water, in the fuel.

a dirty MAF will cause slow throttle response NOT rough idle. what is the idle rpm ? should be 600rpm in or out of gear !

with your info now I would find a better repairer. this guy is an idiot or crook bleeding your wallet. do as I mentioned earlier. Get data do testing then this can be repaired.
