Re: Heater core 2000 silverado

I would recomend buying a haynes manual for your truck before starting this job as it requires alot of disassembly. As far as the A/C goes, it needs to be recovered because the A/C evaporator core is located in the HVAC module, along with the heater core, and the module needs to come out to replace the heater core.

why do you feel this is necessary?

what is the problem?

removal of the heater core will require the removal of the complete dash assy to get access. not a job for a person who has never done this before. as mentioned having a repair manual detailing the removal and precautions is recommended.
