Re: 2003 windstar alarm went off

You could try setting the alarm off with the key fob then pull fuses until it stops. Hopefully the fuse that controls it is not also used for some essential component like headlights. While the alarm going off by itself is not that common, Ford vehicles are notoriously "trigger-happy" because there is no delay built into the remote's alarm button like many other makes have. Merely having the remote in your pocket and sitting down is sometimes all it takes to trigger the alarm and moreover, there is no way to kill it other than racing to the vehicle and turn the ignition. When you live in a city this can get pretty annoying to your neighbors. On my other car the alarm won't go off unless the button is held down for 5 seconds and it can be deactivated from the remote.

One of my neighbors is a certified mechanic who works at a Honda dealership, he can permanently deactivate almost any car alarm using an OBDII app on his laptop but it doesn't work on Fords.

Thanks Bro, I think I found the problem the hood switch didn't close enough to contact when you close the hood. BTW I read the instruction if you lock the door thru remote, it say's if the doors are not properly close the horn will make 2 quick chirps. So I hold the switch all the way down, now the horn only make 1 chirps so I pull the switch bracket up now it's OK. Thanks for your heip
