02 GT How can I test the fuel pump?

I had driven about an hour and stopped at a store for 10mins. Upon starting, the engine sounded a little off and when I started moving (manual trans) the engine hesitated just a bit. I made a left into traffic and 10 seconds later it died.

Got off the road, and it would start, then die. A couple times of that and it would not start any longer. It acted a lot like fuel starvation, so I opened the schraeder valve on the fuel rail, and nothing. No pressure, air, or fuel came out. So I checked the inertia switch and it was not popped.

Got the car towed home (fortunately only 7 miles away) and I notice that the fuel pump is not running for a few seconds when you turn the key on. I also tested the inertia switch and it is good. It seems to me it *has* to be the fuel pump, or current from somewhere that should be activating the fuel pump. No codes are being thrown.

Anyone have any tips on the easiest way to check if it's the pump, or if something else isn't sending current to it? Is there a good place to check for voltage to the pump when you turn the key on? Also, is there a place I can apply voltage to make the pump run?

Thanks!
