no sound from radio

my 2002 monte carlo sat for a few weeks and when i started it the radio doesnt work nor do i get the sound with the key being left in the ignition. fuses seem ok. any ideas?

does the light to radio come on? if not sounds like not getting power to it i'd go back to the fuses again.

What radio option do you have, U62 or UQ3. Check the RPO lable to find out. You will need a schematic. If all your fuses are ok, radio operation is normal, just no sound...on U62 check speaker outputs for shorted, if they're ok, you need a radio. If UQ3, you'll need to check power and grounds to the amp, check the antenna enable ckt for opens or shorts. If their ok, it'll probably be the amp.
