1998 Cherokee No Sound From Radio
I Have A '98 Cherokee Classic With The Infinity Sound System. The Other Day The Radio Stopped Working.
It Powers Up, The Clock Shows Up, I Can Change Stations And Adjust The Volume Like Normal, It's Just That I Get No Sound No Matter What I Do. I Installed A Pioneer Aftermarket Radio And It Does The Same Thing As The Stock One.(powers Up, But No Sound). Does Anyone Know How To Test The Amplifier, Or Maybe Know Of Another Problem That Can Cause This? |

Re: 1998 Cherokee No Sound From Radio
Sounds like you've got it figured already.
To test the amp, use a volt-meter at the harness towards the back. (the one without matching colors) One of them, (srry, don't know which one) will read to 12-14 volts if it's getting power. If I was you, I'd replace that old thing with a better aftermarket amp anyway. Your ears will thank you if you do. |
