more horse power for a svt contour

I just bought a 1998 contour svt the motor is really good right now but i want more horses what would get it done besides for a nitrous system or super charger? would new pulleys be a good investment?

No, not really. It really depends on how fast you want to go. There are plenty of things you can do to increase performance, but how much do you want to spend and how much power do you want to end up with?

so if you want to keep the engine na....get more flow aout of the head and increase the compresion in the cylinders.....


if you want FI go turbo....

and yeah pulleys IMo are not worth it....you free up like 3hp and speng 300$

I woul keep the SVT an NA motor, port and polish, a good set of cams, headers (might be a custom jobbie) an exhaust, intake, and if you really want to be ballsy, redo the internals with forged rods and higher compression pistons.
