98 Caravan needs help

Hi,

I have a problem with my van and need some ideas about what might be causing this problem.

When I am driving, after a about 10 mins, I start to smell a very strong burning odour from the engine, however there is no smoke. From what I have checked, the fluid levels are fine so I am wondering if it might be a belt. I am so nervous about driving anywhere for fear that I might not make it home again, without a tow truck.

Obviously, if I'm driving a 98 Caravan, I don't have piles of money to spend on a vehicle and would really appreciate any tips on what I could check and (hopefully) fix.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks for your help!
