B3000 pickup, #2 cylinder not firing
The #2 cylinder on my b3000 pickup isn't firing, it seems that the spark plug isn't even getting a spark. what kind of thing would I check for to fix this problem? any help would be appreciated.

Re: B3000 pickup, #2 cylinder not firing
I had a similar problem, but only below 2000 RPM. Changed wires and plugs, no change. Went to dealer for test. Was the coil.
The dealer wants way to much for the 6pack coil, so buy aftermarket if you need one. Check the coil for cracks, check the resistance on all the sections, Make sure it is disconnected from the plugs and the computer. they should be the same or close in resistance. Check them all to ground. any grounded sections means a new coil. Wild resistance differences mean a new coil. |
