Exclamation Question about the Anntena

Hi, I have a 1976 GMC Sierra Grande. . .and I was wondering if it would be possible to splice the anntena wire and extend it with a cable wire of the same gauge?

If not is there and possible way to extend it with no cost?

Re: Question about the Antena

If you break the shielding, especially behind the dash, you may end up with lots of engine whine and other unwanted noise. They make antenna cable extendres that shout be pretty cheap although GM may use some weird end on their cables.
