Bench seat swap to 60/40

Hey guys,

So I bought a 60/40 split bench from the junk yard the other day to replace the torn up bench on my '90 C1500. The donor vehicle was an extra cab K2500 probably a '93, while my vehicle is regular cab.

The driver's part of the bench (the 40% part) fit in just fine after drilling two holes in the floor near the middle of the cab for the extra seat support. However, the passenger part of the bench (the 60% part), sits high on the center hump. The outer side of the bracket fits just where the old bench would, but the rear part of the center bracket sits too high on the hump (the front part seems to be alright).

I'm considering just putting some spacers under the outer brackets to bring the entire pass. bench up to the level it is on the center hump. However, this would mean the 60 part is about an inch higher the 40 part.

Any better ideas (besides also raising the driver part)?

Thanky,

Alex

Cut and fabricate your own center rear post/bracket.

Done. Ended up just cutting down the rear post and bolting it back together overlapped so it was half as tall, worked like a charm.

Thanks,

Alex

My truck has the 60/40 split but it is stock. Please let me know if you can find a decent seat cover at a good price. I have checked many sources and I always come up empty. Thanks in advance.
