Newer engine in my 1995 blazer

Hi,

this past winter was crude and my engine block broke, so I've been looking for a used engine and so far I have found only a blazer 2001 and a blazer 2000 engine, so my question is if I can fit one of those two engines in my 1995 blazer, vin W?

Thanks

Re: Newer engine in my 1995 blazer

The basic engine itself will bolt right in but, all of the sensors, fuel injection components, intake manifold, throttle body, air intake, distributor, ignition components, and possibly cylinder heads, etc etc will need to be transferred from the old engine to the new one. It's not difficult, but it is time consuming. Major changes were done to the 1996 and newer engines: to make the job simpler, look for a 1995 or older "W" engine from either S, T, L, M, C, K, or G body GM vehicle.
