How to check engine trouble codes on 1995 Blazer

Sorry for the noobie question, but I've searched and searched and can't find the answer (I've found it for 1994's and earlier and 1996's and later, though). Anyway, how do I check the trouble codes for my 1995 Blazer? My "Service Engine Soon" light isn't on, but I thought it would be interesting to see if there were any stored codes. Also, once I do get the codes, how can I tell what they mean?

Any useful links would be greatly appreciated!

The 1995 Blazer should be the same as the 1994. Just jump the A & B terminals of the ALDL connector with a wire, which is under the driver dash. Turn the ignition on and read the codes. The codes will flash three times before it flashes the nest code.
If it is a late 1995 or a 1996 and up, then you will need a scanner to pull the codes.
The ALDL connector will be different from a 1994.
You need any more help, let us know.
Good Luck.

Look where your PCM is mounted if it is on the coolant jug than you need a scanner to read the codes. The 1995 was the cross over year for the OBD1 to OBD2.

got that right....my 95 S-10 pickup VIN W has the OBDII computer, yet the label only certifies it as OBDI......for the longest time it was a chore getting things like spark plug wires because everyones books were wrong. mine has the little mini prong for the side exit dist. cap, and everyone tried to sell me the ones for top exit, insisting they were the right ones.

i do however remember seeing something about a vehicle calibration update for it that certifies it as OBDII, but it aint broke, so i aint having it done......
