Passat Windows Keep Opening On Their Own

I have a VW Passat. A couple days ago my door lock broke so I haven’t been able to lock the doors anymore. (It doesn’t have a remote key – just a key that you have to turn in the door.) The thing is that since my lock broke, every time I close the door all the windows open. It either happens as soon as I close the door or a few minutes to a few hours after I close it. I know the only way to get a new lock is from the dealer, but that would take a few days and I don’t want to keep leaving my car with the windows open. A car locksmith made a remote key for my car so I could lock it without using the door lock. Since he doesn’t own a shop and will charge me just to come to my house I wanted to make sure I needed it. I was just wondering if I got the remote key and was able to lock my doors, would it stop the windows from opening or would I be better off going to a dealer?
